Tips on How to Make Family Time Count
The years fly by, and before you know it your small children are all grown up. Though you can’t slow the years down, you can try to make the most of the time you have to spend with your family. As such, here are some winning ideas of how to make family time count, and memorable.
The first thing to do is harken back to your own childhood, and recall what it was that you favored. What of all the things you did to fill the long days do you remember as being the best of things? Once you open these flood gates, tons of ideas will probably resurface.
But just to get you started….kids love biking, and someone needs to teach them how to balance, pedal, and road safety. This is one task you will need to prepare for, but will be able to cherish forever. Another, which only requires one thing, is tree climbing. Seems like most of us have forgotten all about that pastime, and the thrill that came with it. Pass this experience on to your kids, and you might be just what saves it for a whole other generation. Once your child sees you climb to a sturdy branch, they will be clamoring to follow in your footsteps. To make this safe and simple look for a tree that has ladder like branches that start low enough for it to be accessed.
Are the yesteryears coming back to you yet? If not, pull out your scrapbooks, and call your parents to chat about your childhood. Most importantly, be sure to have the camera on hand to get pictures of what games and adventures you and your kids participate in, and fill up another scrapbook, or several.
